Self care is a priority

and a necessity,

not a luxury.

Appointment frequency

Initially it can be most helpful for continuity and progress to meet weekly and work to a short number of sessions, eg 6 with a review around session 3 together to ensure you are getting what you need from our time together. Occasionally some people only need a few sessions.

Following this we have the option to continue with either short or longer term sessions with an agreed focus as best suits your needs. longer term sessions can last for six months to two years or more and enable you to explore deeper issues or to work on your continuing personal development.

It is so helpful when ending sessions to have a closure appointment together, in which we can review what we have done together pull out themes and set things up to enable you to maintain the progress and gains from the work we have done.

Appointment times.

Appointments do not always need to be at the same time each week eg if you work shifts or have other commitments I appreciate this can be difficult. Most often sessions are attended weekly, which provides continuity , progress and a momentum to the work . If you feel you need something different, then do contact me.

Fees for all consultations

Counselling/Psychotherapy is a commitment to yourself and attending sessions regularly as agreed will enable you to get the most benefit and build on the positive changes.
